ORDERS, PAYMENT, SHIPMENT AND DELIVERY

After going through all the steps of the order ("add to cart" and CHECKOUT") you can fill in your shipping and necessary personal information. Then choose  your desired method of payment. You will be redirected to the Mollie payment page, our payment service provider. After completing the order, you will receive an immediate order confirmation email containing the total cost (including shipping). Please also check your spam folders if you have not received the confirmation.

We accept the following payment methods for our direct checkout: Ideal, credit card, bank transfer (S€PA), Giropay and Bancontact.

If you prefer to pay by PayPal or your own bank transfer, please contact us by info@vintage-jewels.nl.  In that case, please mention the product you want to purchase and mail us your PayPal email address for a PayPal payment. We will reserve the desired items for you and depending on your wish, you will then receive a PayPal invoice from us or an invoice with our payment details. In this case payments must be made within 7 working days after the order has been placed. The jewelry is therefore reserved for you for 7 working days.

If other shipping options are desired, please contact us by info@vintage-jewels.nl.

Please note that after an order is placed you have got a payment obligation. However, you can always revoke your order (legally) without reason within 14 days of receipt of the goods (for European customers) or before the package has been transmitted. Please send us an email in that case to info@vintage-jewels.nl. For more details see The Terms and Conditions point 6 at our website.

After your payment has been completed, your order will be shipped within 2 working days through PostNL. We will keep you informed by e-mail. In exceptional situations, your order may be shipped later. In this case you will also be informed by email.

 

We ship to a limited number of countries. If your country is not listed, please contact us for any possibilities.


We ship by default to the following countries:

DELIVERY

Delivery within the Netherlands takes place by the PostNL postman or parcel deliverer. In general, the delivery will take place the next working day between 9:00 and 18:00. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee the time of delivery. You can find the expected delivery time at the track and trace page of PostNL. The delivery time outside the Netherlands depends on the postal service that takes over the mail from PostNL. The delivery time within Europe varies in most cases from 3 to 10 days. The delivery time outside Europe varies in most cases from 4 to 20 days. You can find the exact indications of the delivery times per country at the PostNL website.

A number of factors can negatively affect the delivery time, for example it can deviate due to:
• Local holidays
• Customs clearance in the destination country
• Strikes or other special events in the destination country


PACKAGING

The jewelry will be nicely packed. It is therefore possibly to present them directly as a gift. For the purpose of relieving the environment, packaging materials such as shipping boxes and packaging plastics will be re-used.

 

 

 

GENERAL SALES, DELIVERY AND PAYMENT CONDITIONS OF VINTAGE JEWELS (www.vintagejewels.nl)

 

1 General

1.1  Vintage Jewels (www.vintagejewels.nl) is an online store that sells vintage, antique-, costume-and designer jewelry . The orders can be placed exclusively online or through an email message, and be received by post because Vintage Jewels does not have physical store space. An exception is the sale of the jewelry during any jewellery presentations. An appointment is on request possible. These general conditions of sale, delivery and payment terms belong to the internet activities of Vintage Jewels.

1.2  Vintage Jewels sells jewelry from the period 1900 to about 1990. It is mostly used old jewelry that we carefully checked and cleaned. A lot of the jewelry has slight traces these are not visible when wearing it. Vintage Jewels will strive to give a fair and truthful description of her jewelry with information about any visible wear and damage. We strive to offer you the highest quality jewelry. All offered jewels are in a very good to perfect condition unless otherwise described.

1.3  The pictures of products offered in the web shop can show colour defects. Deviations and such are also possible. Vintage Jewels is not responsible for that. We are willing to give more information about the product(s) in which you are interested. When the jewelry substantially deviates from what was described and displayed on the site, Vintage Jewels will take appropriate measures to meet you as a customer.

1.4  Ordering from Vintage Jewels is made subject to availability. Vintage Jewels has the right to dissolve the agreement when the product ordered is not in stock. In that case the buyer has right to dissolve the contract. In this case, the amount paid as soon as possible and no later than within 14 days after the dissolution  of the agreement shall be refunded.

1.5    We try to keep our site up to date. Yet there is always a (small) chance that your chosen jewel was sold to another. If you want to be 100% sure that your desired jewel is still in stock we advise you to contact us by email. We can reserve the jewel for you straight away.

1.6    Photographs, software, designs, texts, electronic files and the like remain the property of Vintage Jewels, regardless of whether it is made available to customers or third parties, unless otherwise agreed.

 

DISCLOSIONS, REPRODUCTIONS OR/AND DISTRIBUTIONS OF THIS PROPERTY OF VINTAGE JEWELS ONLY WITH THE PERMISSION OF VINTAGE JEWELS.

 

2        Prices

2.1     All prices are including Dutch VAT and excluding shipping costs. 
         The VAT amount is not reported on the Bill because the jewelry falls under the margin railing.

For orders from customers outside the Netherlands, the buyer is responsible for  import duties  and other additional costs/taxes.

2.2     Vintage Jewels cannot be held to clear entries that are incorrect, for example by price input-, put-and or printing errors. To clearly wrongful pricing information, no rights can be dissected. 

2.3     The prices will not be increased during the time of purchase and the actual delivery of the purchased product, subject to price changes as a result of changes in VAT rates. 

 

3.      Payment

3.1     After going through all the steps of the order you can choose the method of payment. After completing the order, the customer receives an immediate confirmation email containing the total cost (including shipping).

If the payment is not made within 7 business days (credited to the bank account) Vintage Jewels has the right to return the jewelry back in the sale. After the expiry of this period you are legally in default.

3.4    When the payment obligations are not done in time Vintage Jewels reserves the right to dissolve the agreement and not to do any business with the customer again .

3.5    The consumer has the duty to report inaccuracies in payment data provided to us immediately.

 

4       Delivering

4.1     We deliver to most countries in Europe. Conditions can vary by country. Please contact us for more information.

4.2     Vintage Jewels will observe the greatest possible care when executing orders

4.3     The ordered products are sent within two working days, unless this is not possible due to force majeure or other causes. This is communicated with the buyer. Vintage Jewels is not liable for damages as a result of exceeding the delivery times.

4.4     The pricing of the jewelry is determined by the originality of the design, the craftsmanship with which it is made, the quality of the materials used, the name of the designer and the shortage on the market. The price development is similar to that of antiques.

 

5      Shipment

5.1    We normally use the services of TNT post for shipment. In principle the package is shipped with the track and trace option.
The customer within Netherlands pays 6,95 euro per shipment.
The customer within the European Union pays 19 euro per shipment (up to 2 kg).
The customer outside the European Union pays 32 euros per shipment (up to 2 kg).

For registered shipping and insurance in the Netherlands, an additional fee is added. 

Vintage Jewels can never be held liable for lost or damaged or lost mail. We will however help you finding the lost packages and we will fill in a claim for insured packages.

5.2   Your order can be delivered at a different address if desired. The jewelry will be gracefully packed so they can be directly sent as a gift.

6    Right of withdrawal/ Return policy Vintage Jewels

6.1   The European Union customer has the legal right to return the product without an reason within 14 days after receipt of the package. This period shall begin from the day after receipt of the product by the customer or on behalf of the customer. During this period the customer will serve the greatest  possible care to the product and the packaging. He or she will only unpack to an extent as is necessary to evaluate the product. If the customer decides to return this within this period, he or she should inform the seller within this period by email. You will  receive a confirmation email within 2 working  days with return instructions. When you return the package you need your to include the order number, name, and payment information such as your bank details. The returned package needs to be in the possession of Vintage Jewels within 14 working days unless otherwise agreed. The products must be intact in its  original packaging in the exact same State as being sent from Vintage Jewels. They must be unworn, unused and may wear no perfume and cigarettes smell or other traces. This is at the discretion of Vintage Jewels and in reasonableness and fairness. Jewellery that is damaged after delivery cannot be returned and will be refused. Vintage Jewels reserves the right to charge a fee if applicable for repair or reduction of the purchase value. Returns sent outside the return period are not accepted unless otherwise agreed in advance.

6.2    The costs and risks of return are for the customer. Within Netherlands these costs are € 6.95 for package shipment. The return costs for buyers in other EU countries vary by country. To find out the specific costs we refer to the postal rates of your EU country. These costs will normally not exceed € 20.00 amounts unless a different carrier than the national postal service is used or unless a more expensive shipping method is chosen. Returns that are not sufficiently stamped/franked will be refused. The postage will only be reimbursed/repaid if there is damage to the product is that Vintage Jewels should have reasonably concluded prior to the sale.

6.3    After inspection of the returned product the client will receive an email within 2 working days. In case of a correct return, the amount paid excluding the charged shipping costs will be returned as soon as possible and no later than within 14 days after receipt of the product being returned.

 

7.     Privacy

Vintage Jewels respects your privacy. The information provided by you by the website is used solely to handle your order. If you wish we can offer you information about other actions of Vintage Jewels and its products. Your data is never passed on to third parties. If you want to delete your data from our file, please communicate this to us by email. We will then delete your data out of our system.

 

8.     Complaints

Complaints about an order should be created by email within 2 days after receipt. The customer must give Vintage Jewels the opportunity to present a satisfactory solution for the customer. Vintage Jewels will do its utmost to handle any complaints to the satisfaction. We strive for satisfied customers.

At Vintage Jewels you are buying old and/or antique jewelry that is worn previously. We cannot give any guarantee for them but if the jewelry sold by us nevertheless defects over time, for any reason whatsoever, you can contact us. We will try (if possible) to repair your jewel, free of charge. We only charge you  the necessary materials. Though we refer you to the advices you get with your jewelry included the information listed on the website. If you stick to these advices, your jewelry will stay in good condition for a long time.

 

9      Force Majeure

Vintage Jewels has the right to invoke force majeure if the circumstances (further) fulfilment of the purchase agreement and implementation of resulting prevents services. Force majeure means what is mentioned in the law and jurisprudence and all other external causes on which Vintage Jewels has no influence and  making Vintage Jewels unable to meet the obligations. During the period of force majeure the obligations ensuing from the agreement are to be suspended. This period lasts longer than two months, then both parties shall be entitled to dissolve the agreement, without obligation to compensate for damage to the other  party. Vintage Jewels in this case will return the amount paid, this will be reduced by the amount or any refund from already fulfilled obligations. A separate invoice will be supplied.

 

10.   Liability

Vintage Jewels can never be held to pay damages other than cause damage. They can only be liable for damage if intent or gross negligence is attributable to her. If the delivered product does not answer to fulfil the agreement please use our return policy. Vintage Jewels can only be held to the delivery of missing parts, repair or replacement of the delivered product. They will be in consultation with the best possible solution for the benefit of the customer.

11. Finally

At the moment you place an order, you agree to the terms above.
